Together, we’ll focus on understanding your experiences, developing coping strategies, and creating positive changes at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Welcome, I’m glad you’re here! I am Martina, the founder of York Psychotherapy, and my work is grounded in the belief that your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations are deeply connected. Many people come to therapy thinking something is “wrong” with them, when often, their body has simply been holding stress, pain, and emotion for far too long.

My passion for the mind–body connection comes not just from training, but from my own experience. As someone who has navigated periods of anxiety, stress, and the physical symptoms that come with them, I understand how overwhelming it can feel when your body reacts in ways you don’t expect or understand.

This is why my approach is gentle, grounded, and collaborative. I don’t believe in pushing you into change you’re not ready for. Instead, we move at a pace that feels supportive, steady, and safe.
